For most of my life, night driving never bothered me. I could drive anywhere, anytime, in any weather, without thinking twice.
But over the last few years, I started noticing something different. Headlights felt harsher. Rainy nights felt tenser. And driving after dark took more effort than it used to.
I brushed it off. Everyone deals with glare, right?
Then one evening brought everything into focus. I was heading home when an SUV came around a bend with those newer, icy-white LED headlights. They hit my eyes so fast and so sharply that the whole road vanished for a moment! The line markings, the curb, even my own driveway.
It felt like someone aimed a spotlight into my face. That was the moment I admitted something was wrong.
